Description
Create a community guide to resources related to digital citizenship/literacy, such as technology help, support, instruction, access, e-health, and so on, for the Oak Park community in Chicago. These will include but are not limited to CTCs, libraries, Internet hubs, broadband services, etc. Summarize the purpose and scope of your guide in the opening paragraph.
For each entry on your guide, include:
a. Full name of each organization or agency) (with physical and web address, and contact information or URL if it is primarily web-based)
b. Programs and/or services offered including days, times of virtual or in-person meetings, capacity, cost (if any), intake process, etc.
c. Other information which may include collaborative efforts, publications or resources, links to social media platforms, etc. that would be helpful for a potential user of the guide to know. [Note reviews, responses, feedback, etc. provided by users of the services on social media pages or any other web sources to verify and/or to informally assess the services received]
Verify the information on the website to ensure that it is up to date. This may require calling or emailing the agency/organization with the specific clarifying questions you have. Feel free to communicate the purpose of the assignment and invite them to share any additional information. There is no requirement that you visit any location in person to verify the information, unless you routinely do so (e.g., place of employment, location where you currently receive services, etc.).
