2) PEER REVIEW #1 ( PATRICIA W.)

Good Morning,

Hello class, it is very nice to meet you all and I look forward to an amazing term with all of you. I am Patricia White Jr and yes the junior is actually a part of my name even though most of society believes girls can not be juniors for whatever reason. I am named after my mom; first, middle, and last name and that is where the junior part comes into play. I am a twenty-six-year-old mom to a beautiful three-year-old. I am originally from Long Beach, California so the fact that you are living in California is interesting. Currently, I live in Virginia. I am an artist, who loves to paint, draw or anything that expands my imagination. I would like to get my degree in Criminal Psychology in about two more years seeing as I have been going to strayer for two years already. I think being able to problem solve would be more likely to help me in a professional setting simply because you are going to be faced with many different challenges with whatever career choice you choose. For example, just the commute back and forth to work can be a little treacherous especially if you have either a long commute or one that is made longer because of traffic, having the ability to problem solve would help decide whether to leave the house a little earlier or to navigate more effectively to get to work on time. There will also be other problems, maybe even problems with fellow coworkers that may or may not need to be handled without the help of a supervisor knowing the right course of action can definitely increase your chances of keeping your employment.

3) PEER REVIEW #2 ( BRIA)

Hi, class! My name is Bria and I am from Fuquay-Varina, North Carolina. My mom is from the Philippines and my dad is from Holly Springs, NC. They’re super great parents who have always pushed me to be my best. I have one younger brother (21) who has enlisted in the Navy (like my dad did) and will start basic training on the 14th of this month in Chicago. I am happily engaged to my boyfriend and best friend since the 2nd of this month! I’m very family oriented, as you can see. After family comes finance! I work for a design engineering firm in Raleigh, NC. Our president’s motto is “Faith. Family. Finance.” This is something I am big on, hence my dedication to my job. I am attending Strayer for my Bachelor’s in Marketing and minor in Management. I just started last semester so I am sure I have quite a way to go. Although, I just learned about Sophia so I plan to utilize that.

During this week’s reading, I believe that I identified more with the self and social awareness skills as skills that I should work on more in my personal and professional life. These sets of skills are our ability to recognize emotions, intentions of ourselves and others, and our thoughts in order to see the impact we have on others and to be able to reflect on ourselves. It is our understanding of our own strengths and limitations, how our behavior effects others, and our willingness to accept the feedback. This would assist us in our personal and professional lives by being able to see ourselves how others see us and learn how to better ourselves. This would also help in our decision making now that we will be more aware of who we are and how we function.

Looking forward to a great semester with you all! : )
