Description

a four-leg congested intersection is assigned to each group. an intersection is congested when the degree of saturation is above 0.9 or when drivers need to stop for more than one cycle to pass the intersection. the traffic count survey has been conducted at the selected intersection for four consecutive 15-minute intervals (one hour) in the peak period of a weekday. the coming traffic is recorded for each leg and is classified as through, left and right turn. in addition, the counts are classified as light (cars, small jeeps, etc.) or heavy vehicles (truck, bus, etc.). more details are attached.
