Description
(a) Complete the title page including the proposed topic of your project.
(b) Select a dataset for analysis.
(c) Identify at least three variables of interest.
(d) Provide a description of your data, variables and statistical methods in the Data and Methodology section.
(e) Please make sure not to deviate from the guidelines provide in the “Term Project Guidelines” videos
Please explore the resources posted under the “Writing Project” section on the course website. You will submit a draft of your writing project at the end of this week. By now you should have completed the following activities:
1. Select a dataset (use one of the 20 datasets provided under Writing Project link)
On Thursday, we will explore several datasets in class, and I will demonstrate how to build a multiple regression model for your term paper. After this class you should be able to:
2. Select a target (dependent) variable in the dataset from step#1 above
3. Identify 2-3 predictors
After this week’s class, please watch both of the videos posted under Writing Project link, and go over the Word template which provides a word count for each section of the term paper.
The term project draft is due next week. Please see the Writing Project link for a full description of what is expected in the draft.
