With close to 6 million infections and currently close to 175,000 COVID-19 deaths, it is clear that United States was not prepared to handle such a pandemic. The expectation has been that because of existing health policies, such a pandemic would easily be prevented or controlled. So what went wrong? Review any of key legislations and discuss why it couldn’t effectively address the pandemic.
